Financial resilience

Picture of a Zoom call
Organisations from across the VCSE sector came together at an online seminar hosted by Norfolk Community Foundation to hear about how to become more financially resilient.

Norfolk Community Foundation held the online seminar to help organisations feel more confident about their financial resilience, in the wake of the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the VCSE sector.

Those who attended the event heard Peter Besant, Financial Planning Partner with Tilney, Smith and Williamson, share his expertise on balancing being responsive with potential risk and tackle uncertainties about what an organisations reserves should be. Peter has 32 years of experience dealing with the financial planning and wealth needs of charities and has been with Tilney, Smith and Williamson, a leading UK investment and financial planning group that builds on a heritage of more than 180 years, since 2016.

What attendees had to say

“A useful reminder of the key priorities and the consequences of not having these in place.”

“Thank you for such a detailed and helpful presentation.”

“It was so useful having the reassurance regarding our reserves policy and the best way to identify risks and evaluate them.”
