Norfolk Covid-19 Community Response – Helping Norfolk to Build Back Brighter

The initial phase of Covid-19 community response funding closed in July as lockdown restrictions eased. Over the first 100 days of the crisis, this emergency phase saw over £1million raised in Norfolk, and distributed to frontline charitable and volunteer led community aid countywide.

As the situation evolves, we know that many charities have taken steps to re-introduce face to face support and services where possible and safe to do so, as others remain under strain while continuing to deliver exceptional support for vulnerable people.

Build Back Brighter is a programme of funding and support from Norfolk Community Foundation that aims to help our vital local charities take steps to build resilience following Covid-19 both in the community, and within their own organisations.

Funding opportunities will be listed here when available, and will continue to be launched over the coming months in response to evolving needs, and subject to the progress of our fundraising appeal.

  • Norfolk Winter Resilience Fund The Norfolk Winter Resilience Fund distributes the funds raised through our Surviving the Covid Winter appeal, and also funds for Norfolk provided by Co-op to support local charities providing emergency food and tackling food inequality.

We expect demand for funding to be high, and each Fund will be closed when fully spent.

It is expected that one application will be accepted per organisation, unless the organisation is involved in multiple, distinct activities that meet Fund priorities.

If you are new to NCF grants, or are unsure your group or project is eligible, start by visiting our Guidance & Resources pages which take you through our process step by step. The Grants Team are also happy to talk through your plans before you begin an application if you need any help or guidance.
