What started as an open discussion with a small group of professionals united in their desire to make a positive impact in the county has led to the creation of our Community ISA.
What is it?
An ISA in financial terms stands for ‘Individual Savings Account’, where investment is made for the future. With our Community ISA – the ISA stands for ‘Inspire – Support – Act’, and we ask that businesses and individuals invest in helping their communities – an investment for now and the future.
At Norfolk Community Foundation we understand that many businesses are looking to support their communities, but often find the journey time-consuming and confusing. Having listened to charity and business leaders we have designed a series of opportunities which will greatly benefit both.

Inspire
Helping to raise aspiration and expand opportunity for education and employment, for example: offering a workplace visit to a group of young people, recording a short video explaining what you would look for in a new employee or taking part in a workshop style activity at a school or college.
Support
Introducing funding opportunities by raising the awareness of the issues facing many in our communities. Spreading the word about our Legacy Campaign, our Norfolk 100 membership and Payroll Giving.
Act
Taking positive, practical action to help others, for example: joining Norfolk ProHelp which offers skills-based volunteering in support of individual charities and community groups or joining our growing team of Reading Buddies who spend an hour a week in a local school to support young readers.
