For the second year running, Anglian Home Improvements and Norwich City Football Club have teamed up to help families across Norfolk. Thanks to the kindness of local people and football fans, our Nourishing Norfolk programme has received an amazing amount of support again this year.
More than 400 kilograms of food was donated. Fans heading to Carrow Road for the recent match against Queens Park Rangers brought in enough food to create more than 955 meals for people in Norfolk who are finding it hard to afford the basics.
Anglian, Norwich City and fans have also donated more than £4,500 to our Matched fo Change appeal so far – which we have been able to double to over £9,000!
Volunteers from Anglian Home Improvements, joined by long time charity supporter Delia Smith CH, gathered donations from fans outside the stadium. All of the food and money collected will go straight to the 25 Nourishing Norfolk food hubs that work to support people across the county.
As part of the food drive, both Anglian Home Improvements and Norwich City Football Club have each donated £1,500 to the charity to help support it with its ongoing efforts in the region. What’s more, through the ‘Matched for Change’ appeal, every £1 donated will be doubled from a £50,000 match fund.
