Anglian Home Improvements’ Christmas Food Drive Feeds Families This Winter

For the second year running, Anglian Home Improvements and Norwich City Football Club have teamed up to help families across Norfolk. Thanks to the kindness of local people and football fans, our Nourishing Norfolk programme has received an amazing amount of support again this year.

More than 400 kilograms of food was donated. Fans heading to Carrow Road for the recent match against Queens Park Rangers brought in  enough food to create more than 955 meals for people in Norfolk who are finding it hard to afford the basics.

Anglian, Norwich City and fans have also donated more than £4,500 to our Matched fo Change appeal so far – which we have been able to double to over £9,000!

Volunteers from Anglian Home Improvements, joined by long time charity supporter Delia Smith CH, gathered donations from fans outside the stadium. All of the food and money collected will go straight to the 25 Nourishing Norfolk food hubs that work to support people across the county.

“The generosity of Norwich City fans has once again been truly inspiring. Their support will prove vital for vulnerable families across the region. We’re especially thrilled that the Norfolk Community Foundation’s ‘Matched for Change’ appeal means every monetary donation is doubled, meaning the impact of this initiative is even greater.”

“This Christmas, we’re seeing people struggle to afford the basics, so it’s s truly inspiring to see the local community rally together once again to support the Nourishing Norfolk programme. At its core, we are about uniting people and fostering healthier, stronger communities through the power of food. We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Anglian Home Improvements, Norwich City Football Club and everyone who has contributed to this food drive ahead of the festive season.”
