Doubling your donations to make a difference this winter!
Across Norfolk this winter, too many people face impossible choices between heating and eating, paying bills or staying connected. Communities are stretched, but you can help change this story.
Norfolk Community Foundation’s Matched for Change appeal gave local people and businesses the chance to make twice the difference this Christmas. Every £1 given unlocked another £1 from our £50,000 match fund, doubling people and businesses’ impact for the those who needed it most.
Whether donors:
- Made a one-off donation,
- Gave as a business, or
- Fundraised for us…
…they helped to tackle urgent issues like food poverty, fuel hardship and loneliness, right here in Norfolk! Their support will help communities take these challenges head-on, ensuring people have enough to eat, communities stay connected, strong, and thrive not just this winter, but for the long term.
Some examples of what a doubled donation can do…
- £10 becomes £20, buying 3 baskets of food at a Nourishing Norfolk Food Hub.
- £100 becomes £200, heating a community centre for two weeks.
- £400 becomes £800, preventing one person from going homeless.
How we’re helping:
This winter, we’ve geven groups funding to help those who need it most find community on their doorstep, and support with what matters most this time of year. With your suport, we can make an even bigger difference. Last year, your support helped Purfleet Pantry support their community with a warm welcome, but also so much more:
“Emma started visiting our community centre regularly, where she could enjoy hot meals and a warm, welcoming space during the day. While she was with us, our team worked with her to find practical solutions to ease her financial pressures. We referred Emma to a debt advice service, which helped her address her financial difficulties and avoid falling further into debt.”

100% of your donation amount will contribute to grant giving to voluntary sector organisations. Any claimable Gift Aid will support the administration costs of operating Matched for Change.
