Anglian Home Improvements & Norwich City Double Their Difference

Making a difference this winter

We are delighted to celebrate the continued partnership between Anglian Home Improvements and Norwich City Football Club as they join forces again to support our Nourishing Norfolk programme and our Matched for Change appeal. Building on last year’s successful effort, the team are challenging local people to help surpass 2024’s total and provide even more support for families facing food insecurity.

Ahead of the home match against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday 29 November, supporters are being encouraged to bring tinned and long life items to Carrow Road between 12pm and 3pm. Volunteers from Anglian Home Improvements will be based outside the Norwich City Club Retail Store and the Jarrold Stand, ready to gather donations and thank fans for their generosity. Every item given will help stock our network of 25 Nourishing Norfolk food hubs, which offer affordable food and a welcoming space for thousands of families across the county.

Last year’s collection provided 1,500 meals and raised more than £2,000 for the households that needed it most. This year, the ambition is even greater. With cost of living pressures still affecting many, the need for community support has never been more important. We are incredibly grateful for the commitment shown once again by Anglian Home Improvements, Norwich City Football Club and the supporters who rally behind this cause.

Supporting Matched for Change

As well as leading the match day collection, Anglian Home Improvements and Norwich City Football Club have each generously donated £1,500 to our Matched for Change appeal. These contributions will provide direct support to families this winter.

Thanks to a dedicated £50,000 match fund, every pound donated to the appeal is doubled. This means supporters can make an even greater difference at a time when it is needed most. We are enormously grateful for both Angmian Home Inrovements and Norwich City FC’s leadership in helping maximise the impact of every donation received.

This combined support strengthens our mission to ensure that no one in Norfolk goes without the essentials. It also empowers our local communities to continue offering support in their communities, including cooking guidance, budgeting support and access to community services that help families during the most challenging months of the year.

No one in Norfolk goes hungry

The upcoming food drive gives football fans a meaningful way to take action. By donating one or more long life items, supporters can help families across Norfolk enjoy nutritious meals this winter. The items most in need include tinned fruit, vegetables, tomatoes, baked beans, soup, tinned meat and fish, and ready to eat meals such as ravioli and macaroni cheese.

We were delighted with the collection at last year’s game and are excited to see our community come together once again. Every contribution, large or small, helps our hubs maintain good stock levels at a time of year when demand rises sharply.

Those who prefer to give financially can do so online or by using the QR codes that will be available around the stadium on match day. All financial donations made through the Matched for Change appeal will be doubled, making every gift go even further.

We will be distributing donations across our 25 local food hubs

“Many Norfolk families are facing immense pressure with rising living costs, and the colder weather and Christmas can make this an even more expensive and stressful time. That’s why Anglian is so committed to supporting the vital work of Nourishing Norfolk. We urge everyone who can, to join us in fighting food poverty this winter; with the ‘Matched for Change’ appeal from Norfolk Community Foundations, every single pound donated will be doubled, truly making your contribution go further.”
