Our Matched for Change appeal came to a close on Friday, and we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared, fundraised or supported the campaign.
Together, you helped us raise £55,867, which has been matched £ for £ to create £111,734 of support for communities across Norfolk. At a time when winter pressures are hitting hard, that extra funding will make a real and lasting difference.
Community in action: the THRIVE Café
One example of the impact your support makes can be seen at the THRIVE Café. Based in a rural area where isolation is more common, the café offers a warm, welcoming space where people can come together through the winter months. With funding made possible by supporters like you, THRIVE provides hot food, friendly conversation and a sense of belonging. For many visitors, it is not about the meal, but about feeling seen, valued and part of a community during the colder, darker days of winter.
Looking ahead: Warm Welcome Week
The money raised through Matched for Change supports our wider winter work, including helping warm spaces across Norfolk. During Warm Welcome Week, we celebrate the community groups which open their doors to offer safe, welcoming places for people to gather, stay warm and connect. Through our funding, local organisations are able to host activities, provide hot drinks and meals, and create spaces where no one has to face winter alone.
