Rachel Lane battled cancer for five years and her courage and inspiration touched so many people.
Despite having to undergo many different treatments, with often dreadful side effects, Rachel never once complained or said ‘why me’. She was just totally focused on kicking the cancer.
The Rachel Lane Fund has been set up to carry on the fundraising started by Rachel who finally said goodbye to the world on the 22 October 2012 aged just 27.
During Rachel’s long journey she helped many people and raised lots of money for charity. This fund will ensure her inspiration and good work continues to help others. Money raised will be managed by Norfolk Community Foundation and decisions made by the Rachel Lane Fund panel to support local cancer charities and those affected by cancer.
