North Norfolk Health and Wellbeing Partnership Fund

Funding available

The North Norfolk Health and Wellbeing Partnership Fund is available to VCSE sector organisations which are based, and whose beneficiaries live, in North Norfolk District Council’s boundaries.

It is recognised that the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector (VCSE) can play a vital role in understanding and responding to the wellbeing needs of local people they support, often providing early intervention and prevention programmes that can improve health and wellbeing. Projects should seek to reduce health inequalities and support the most vulnerable in the community.

The North Norfolk Health and Wellbeing Partnership Fund is seed funding for organisations to trial new activities, or develop existing activities, throughout the Spring and Summer 2026.

It is expected that grants will provide immediate benefit, and funded action will begin without delay. Activities must be finished and funding spent by September 2026.

Grants of up to £2,500 are available to support community projects that can demonstrate alignment to one or more of the priorities of the North Norfolk Health and Wellbeing Partnership:

  • Digital inclusion
  • Musculoskeletal conditions
  • Healthy Living
  • Mental Health
  • Health Literacy

Priority will be given to grassroots organisations.

Projects must take place within the North Norfolk District Council’s boundaries. Applications are particularly encouraged for rural and coastal projects or those working with people living in areas of high deprivation in North Norfolk.

What can funding be used for:

The fund can support a wide range of community-based activities where individual and community assets can be utilised, built upon and strengthened. Examples of projects that could be funded include but are not limited to:

  • Start a “Walk and Talk” group in a rural or coastal village to help reduce social isolation and boost people’s mental health and wellbeing.
  • Set up a peer support breastfeeding group for new mums in a local market town, offering a welcoming space to share experiences and build confidence.
  • Add a seated exercise session to an existing coffee morning to support people living with pain or mobility challenges (MSK).
  • Support low income families to develop cooking skills and learn how to prepare healthy, affordable meals.
  • Train a small group of digital health champions to help build digital confidence in the community through friendly one-to-one or group support.
  • Trial an inclusive intergenerational dance workshop on the beach, in a park, or on the village green to encourage physical activity, connection, and wellbeing.
  • Help parish councils or community groups organise activities linked to national or local health campaigns—for example, Men’s Health Week, Mental Health Awareness Week or National Walking Month.
The Fund cannot support:
  • Activity that does not address one of the fund priorities.
  • Large capital (building) costs.
  • Activity that extends beyond the end of August 2026.
