Grants of up to £5,000, and up to £10,000, are available for Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations which are operating in Thetford, and positively impacting the lives of Thetford residents.
The Community Support Fund…forThetford aims to build community capacity, cohesion and resilience within Thetford by supporting local organisations to respond to community priorities.

The Community Support Fund…forThetford has been made possible by the national Pride in Place programme, a government initiative designed to boost local economies, empower communities and raise living standards across the country. Find out more about the programme on the forThetford website here.
This fund can support projects that are aligned with the Pride in Place Strategic Objectives.

This funding is available to small to medium sized organisations actively making Thetford a great place to live and visit. Examples of funded projects could include those that:
- Improve skills and employability of residents
- Improve community cohesion in the town
- Improve the health and wellbeing outcomes of residents
- Bring new, or enhance existing, opportunities and activities to residents of Thetford
- Strengthen heritage, culture and arts in Thetford
This funding might be right for your organisation if you can demonstrate:
- A clear and active connection to Thetford (Map – forThetford)
- Working towards one or more of the Pride in Place Strategic Objectives (above)
- An annual turnover of less than £500,000
- Evidence of being engaged and active in supporting Thetford residents
- Strong, measurable experience in delivering community impact in Thetford
- How this funding will strengthen your organisation over the funding period (12 months)
For larger grants (up to £10k), in addition to the above, organisations must demonstrate that they are connected to other local organisations, and working in partnership with at least one other organisation or group.
Eligible, Thetford-based organisations can utilise this funding for:
- Core costs, ensuring the sustainability of local organisations active in the area
- Ongoing costs related to sustaining activities delivered locally
- Piloting new activities responding to community need, delivered by embedded local organisations

The fund is now open, and the deadline for applications is the 2nd of March 2026 at 12 noon. Funding decisions will be confirmed by the end of March 2026, with funded projects commencing delivery from April 2026 onwards.
