Norfolk Community Foundation is asking people in the county to share their experiences of living through Covid-19 by taking part in a short online survey. The purpose of the survey is to help the Foundation understand how neighbourhoods throughout Norfolk are managing and what help and support they need to get them through the winter and beyond.

When the global pandemic hit, the Norfolk Community Foundation established the emergency Covid-19 Community Response Fund and, with help from the public, local businesses and grants, has invested close to £2 million of urgent aid. This funding has enabled Norfolk charities to deliver essential support to the people who needed them: helping them deal with everything from exhausting, everyday challenges to life shattering issues and crisis situations.

We are privileged to have close working relationships with hundreds of charities and social enterprises working to make a tangible, positive difference to the lives of people in our county,” says Claire Cullens, Chief Executive of Norfolk Community Foundation. “But we need to know more about how people in Norfolk are coping during the ongoing pandemic. What are they most worried about and where is help needed?”

The Foundation has subsequently produced a short online survey which help by providing a snapshot of life in communities throughout the county and the role that charities have played.

Claire says: “As an organisation which exists entirely to support communities in Norfolk, we need to know as much as possible about the worries people have: whether concerns about health, anxieties about money and paying bills, feeling lonely and sad, or fears for jobs, careers and the future. We hope that lots of people will spend just a couple of minutes to complete the survey and help to inform the work Norfolk Community Foundation delivers.”
