Grants of up to £10,000 are available to support projects that aim to improve the wellbeing of older people in Norfolk by helping them stay connected with their local community.

The Fund aims to offer grants focused on reducing loneliness in older people (55+) in Norfolk, through projects that may create new connections, or maintain existing.

Grants can support the operational costs of existing projects, as well as expanding proven delivery.  Grants can also be used for pilot activities or to test out new ideas or partnerships.

Types of activity the Fund can support may include:

  • Community transport
  • Lunch/ social clubs
  • Walking/ exercise groups
  • Volunteering
  • Projects/ activities to promote learning and skills
  • Intergenerational activities
  • Carer support
  • Digital skills

Applications purely for capital costs are unlikely to be successful.

Decisions will be made in January 2020.
