From January 2017, Norfolk Community Foundation has been appointed to undertake the management and administration of the Norfolk Millennium Trust for Carers.
The Norfolk Millennium Trust for Carers aims to offer unpaid carers a better quality of life by giving grants for practical items like washing machines and laptops, power packs for wheelchairs and short breaks. Every year the Trust helps hundreds of carers across the county, young and old alike, from pensioners looking after a disabled spouse to children juggling schoolwork and the needs of a poorly parent.
Grants are typically up to a maximum of £250.
Applications must be supported by a professional referee who knows about your caring situation, and has the knowledge and skill to give a meaningful opinion on your request. A relative/ member of your family, friend or neighbour is not acceptable.
Dates of future panel meetings are published at http://www.wecareappeal.co.uk/about/news-and-events/
The Norfolk Millennium Trust for Carers was set up through the Norfolk-based EDP We Care Appeal. All the money raised in Norfolk is spent in Norfolk – and the Appeal for more money continues in order to help some of the most needy in Norfolk’s communities.
