Thalia Theatre Company have just received a grant of almost £1,000 to secure the services of the London based Rambert Dance Company for a two-day residency. The Norwich based organisation is a theatre company for people from all over Norfolk, most of whom have physical or sensory impairment, or learning difficulties. They aim to develop confidence in the abilities of company members with the work they devise, and challenge perceptions in their performances to the public.

Thalia use a mix of performance styles, and this residency from the highly respected Rambert Dance Company will extend the company’s physical ability and level of expression, and increase members’ self esteem.

Rambert Dance Company is the oldest dance company in Britain, dating its existence from 1926. Rambert engages with thousands of young people and adults on an annual basis through its commitment to an extensive international education programme.
