I can think of no better way, effortlessly and with confidence, to support local good causes than through Norfolk Community Foundation.
Shadwell Community Fund

We have up to £5,000 to distribute in 2011 to charities, community and voluntary groups based in the Thetford area. Eligible organisations must be based in a five mile radius of Thetford and within Norfolk.
The Shadwell Community Fund is available to groups that:
- Are largely volunteer led
- Have a constitution
- Have a management committee of at least three people
- Have a bank account with two signatories
- Are working to improve their community
Grants of up to £1,000 will be available to groups addressing the following priority areas:
- Support local solutions to meet local needs
- Promote community cohesion
- Develop sustainable and supportive communities
- Tackle disadvantage
- Promote health and well being
- Support community based sports activities
Applications are particularly encouraged for projects that engage local children and young people.
