What is it?
Although North Norfolk is generally regarded as a prosperous area there are pockets of real disadvantage and need. Many local community groups are striving to address those needs and volunteer their time to improve their community. The North Norfolk Community Fund was established by the North Norfolk Community Partnership to provide a permanent source of funding to support community and voluntary activity in North Norfolk.
Who can apply?
If your group or organisation is working to help
- children or young people
- older people
- people with disabilities
- those suffering rural isolation
- minority groups
- people with mental health issues
- carers
- low income families
you may be eligible for a grant. All applicant groups need to have
- a constitution or set of rules governing how the group is run
- a committee to manage the group
- a bank account in the name of the group
- information on annual income and expenditure.
What can it fund?
Each January and July, grant awards will be made from the Fund of up to £5,000 to voluntary and community groups operating in and benefiting people within the district of North Norfolk. Grants will be awarded to groups that:
- tackle disadvantage
- support local solutions to local needs
- promote community cohesion
- develop sustainable and supportive communities
- promote health and wellbeing.
Grants panel meetings are held in January & July
