Norfolk Community Foundation seeks to make it as easy as
possible for community and voluntary groups to apply for funding. We seek
to support genuinely good ideas that will make a real difference to the
lives of local people.
The application process is very simple. Use the following link to our
Grants Policy & Guidelines within our Application
Pack. We recommend that you read these fully before making
an application.
Norfolk Community Foundation operates many grants rounds each year, see
Funds Held, to help ensure
that worthwhile projects and organisations are funded when required.
The Foundation is able to receive grant applications throughout the year. Applicants
are advised to submit applications by the middle of the month prior to
the targeted grant delivery meeting to allow sufficient time for application
assessment and distribution. The Foundation also operates a small grants
programme, which awards grants of up to £500 throughout the year,
for which no grants meeting is required therefore enabling a quicker decision
on grants awarded.
From 3 July 2008, new government funding called Grassroots grants will
be available in Norfolk. This is for organisations that have been active
in their local community for at least one year and have less than £20,000
income per year. Grants of up to £5,000 can be awarded either as
a single grant or over a three year period. The same application form
can be used for all funds
If you are applying for a grant for the first time, or if you would like
advice before making an application, please contact
us or your local
development agency. If you wish to be added to our database
for regular updates on our latest grant rounds, please e-mail us your
name, your organisation’s name, an e-mail address and telephone
number at info@norfolkfoundation.com
“We depend on grants to provide this service, so this £2,000 grant from Norfolk Community Foundation is fantastic as it ensures we have a base from which to operate this much needed service, which is essential.”
