South Norfolk Council Community Sports Fund
Open for applications – applications are considered on a rolling basis until all funds are allocated
The aim of the Fund is to support young people to excel in their chosen sporting activity, and to provide grassroots support to the voluntary sports sector in South Norfolk.
The South Norfolk Council Community Sports Fund offers grants through two schemes:
Community Coach Development Bursary Scheme and Elite Athlete Fitness Support Scheme.
Community Coach Development Bursary Scheme
The Community Coach Development Bursary Scheme aims to provide volunteer coaches aged 16+ within South Norfolk’s communities with financial assistance to undertake National Governing Body Level 1, 2 and 3 coaching qualifications. The intention of the scheme is to improve coaching standards within local sports clubs and organisations by providing better qualified coaches who will in turn improve standards of performance within their settings. It is hoped that this will increase the number of young people from South Norfolk that go on to gain county and regional representation in their chosen sport.
Applicants can apply for up to £300 or 75% of total course costs (whichever is lower). Please note grants are paid upon successful completion of training.
