Norwich Business Women’s Network (NBWN) Community Fund

The Norwich Business Women’s Network (NBWN), is one of Norfolk’s most successful business women’s networks. It was established nearly 25 years ago and aims to provide top quality networking for the region’s business women. Find out more here.
Charitable giving is an important aspect of the network and each year, members select a charity or number of charities to support through membership subscriptions, a monthly raffle and other events.
In 2016, members chose Norfolk Community Foundation as their ‘charity of the year’ and have established a small community fund.
The NBWN Community Fund aims to support charitable groups in the Norwich (and greater Norwich) area that are working to help people access the support they need to stay in their homes for longer, and help carers and the people they care for to lead a full and active life connected to their local community. Typical projects might include:
- Day centres and lunch clubs
- Community transport schemes
- Self-help and community support groups and services – such as pabulum/dementia cafes
- Support and respite for carers of all ages
- Good neighbour and handyman schemes to help with home or garden maintenance
Grants of up to £2,000 are available.
Who can apply
Charitable, community and voluntary groups based or clearly operating in the Norwich area can apply. This includes Churches/ PCCs and Parish Councils where the project is clearly community focused and inclusive.

Schools are not eligible to apply.

How to apply
Norfolk Community Foundation has launched a new way to apply online, which enables applicants to complete more of the process entirely online if they wish. If you have any problems at all using the new system please contact the Grants Team for support.

Independent reference: Please note: we no longer require applicants to provide an independent reference with every application. Instead you will be asked to provide contact details for a referee within the online application form and we will contact the referee where we feel this will be helpful. Please see our FAQs for guidance on choosing an independent referee.

Step 1 – Complete the online application form by clicking on the link below. The new form enables you to upload various pieces of supporting information to complete your application. You can still send some or all of your supporting information separately by email or by post if you wish.
Step 2 – Ensure that Norfolk Community Foundation receives your online form, and all supporting information, by the deadline date.
