Voluntary Norfolk’s Mental Health Befriending Service

A grant from the Shelroy Charitable Trust Fund helped Voluntary Norfolk’s Mental Health Befriending Service to continue providing companionship for socially isolated people across the county.

Typically volunteers offer weekly meetings over a year, which may simply involve a coffee and a chat, going for a walk or visiting a local museum or library. Befrienders aim to help people grow in confidence and get out into the community to improve their quality of life in the long term.
