Community Coach Development Bursary Scheme
The Community Coach Development Bursary Scheme aims to provide volunteer coaches aged 16+ within South Norfolk’s communities with financial assistance to undertake National Governing Body Level 1, 2 and 3 coaching qualifications. The intention of the scheme is to improve coaching standards within local sports clubs and organisations by providing better qualified coaches who will in turn improve standards of performance within their settings. It is hoped that this will increase the number of young people from South Norfolk that go on to gain county and regional representation in their chosen sport.
Applicants can apply for up to £300 or 75% of total course costs (whichever is lower). Please note grants are paid upon successful completion of training.
Elite Athlete Fitness Support Scheme
The Elite Athlete Fitness Support Scheme aims to support South Norfolk residents aged between 16 and 18 (or 16 and 25 for disabled athletes) currently competing at national and international level by providing a 12 month complementary gym membership for use at Diss Swim and Fitness Centre, Wymondham Leisure Centre or Long Stratton Leisure Centre.
Awards are discretionary, and a maximum of 20 gym membership passes will be awarded per year.
