I can think of no better way, effortlessly and with confidence, to support local good causes than through Norfolk Community Foundation.

Greenhouse Community Project Fund
CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR APPLICATIONS
Clive Hay-Smith, from Sheringham, set up the Greenhouse Community Project Fund in February 2010. The aim of the Fund is to support a wide range of charitable and community activities in the Sheringham and North Norfolk area.
Causes to be supported:
- Promote Education (particularly the areas of vocational and applied learning)
- Support local solutions to meet local needs
- Promote community cohesion
- Develop sustainable and supportive communities
- Tackle disadvantage
- Promote health and wellbeing
The Funds first 2 grant recipients were awarded grants the same month the Fund was set up.
Sheringham & District Sports Association was granted £40,000 for the purchase and installation of floodlighting for the football pitch.
Sheringham Little Theatre was granted £7,200 towards operational costs.
In July more funds became available and Mr Hay-Smith awarded a further £15,000 to Sheringham & District Sports Association for a Farmura Roll cart sprinkler system, sports kit and equipment and improvements to the football ground and Pavilion.

Sheringham Community Smallholding was granted £20,000 towards capital and revenue costs of an outdoor classroom, electrical works and the purchase of three storage containers.
Sheringham Woodfields School was granted £2,500 to contribute to the final fundraising costs of purchasing a mini bus for the school.
